ADB PRC Country Director Safdar Parvez Leads Loan Review Mission in Jiangxi Xinyu

ADB PRC Mission Country Director Safdar Parvez led a loan review mission in Xinyu City, Jiangxi Province, the PRC, on 7-8 August 2023. The mission aimed at advancing the Jiangxi Xinyu Kongmu River Watershed Flood Control and Environmental Improvement Project. CD Safdar met with the Mayor, Executive Vice Mayor, and Vice Mayor in charge of the project in Xinyu, as well as officials from the Jiangxi Provincial Development and Reform Commission and Finance Department. The discussions were insightful, and next steps for project implementation were agreed upon. The government also committed to addressing issues and constraints that had delayed the project.
