Global Health and Development Forum 2022 Global Health: Digital Transformation and Development Divides

22 Dec 2022 Online

2022 is the theme year of “Digital Humanities” at Peking University (PKU). In 2019, the World Health Organization (WHO) released the “Global Strategy Report on Digital Health (2020-2025)”, setting the global priority of the digital health strategy to promote global health and human development. Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the digital transformation of healthcare has fast developed unprecedentedly, not only bringing new healthcare experiences, but also showing a future trend of continuous growth, which is bound to bring more potentials for digital technology to improve human health. At the same time, the pace of health digitization is not consistent among different groups, leaving disadvantaged populations unfavorable development divides. In light of the state development goal for common prosperity, this forum aims to bring together domestic and foreign experts to explore possible solutions in our joint efforts to meet the opportunities and challenges of digital health transformation.

The event is co-organized by Asian Development Bank, Beijing Forum 2022, and PKU Institute for Global Health and Development.
