Asia-Pacific Low Carbon Expo 2023 Officially on Tencent’s TanLIVE Platform

On 11 September, the Asia-Pacific Low Carbon Expo 2023 (Expo) officially debuted on Tencent’s TanLIVE platform.

The Expo, organized by Hunan GreeNovator Environmental Technology and sponsored by the Hunan Association of Environmental Protection Industry and Tencent Carbon Neutrality Lab, will be held alongside the 2023 Asia-Pacific Forum on Green and Low-Carbon Development, and Asian Development Bank (ADB) East Asia Forum on 20-21 October.

The TanLIVE platform, initiated by Tencent’s Sustainable Social Value Organization (SSV), is tailored for low-carbon technology companies connecting all facets of the sector to facilitate networking and encourage resource-sharing among companies. It is an open-source platform that empowers exhibitors to proactively communicate and interact with potential clients. The platform establishes direct connections between exhibitors and clients, suppliers, resource providers, and funders, fostering valuable networking opportunities between exhibitors and stakeholders. This collaborative approach aims to lay the groundwork for the widespread adoption of low-carbon technologies across diverse scenarios in the near future.

At the opening ceremony of the first Asia-Pacific Forum on Low-Carbon Technology in 2016 (later renamed the Asia-Pacific Forum on Green and Low-Carbon Development), the then Executive Vice Governor of Hunan Province Chen Xiangqun, and ADB Vice President Bambang Susantono jointly inaugurated the Hunan GreeNovator Environmental Technology. This marked a significant milestone in the long-term cooperation in the field of low-carbon technology between ADB and the People’s Government of Hunan Province. As the first low-carbon technology incubator in the province, Hunan GreeNovator Environmental Technology is tasked with introducing cutting-edge international low-carbon practices and expediting the incubation of low-carbon technologies.
