CAREC Innovation Decoded Webinar Explores Cross-Border E-Commerce with PRC Experience

The CAREC Innovation Decoded online webinar on “Prosperous CAREC Economy through ICT-based Cross-Border e-Commerce” was held on 15 August. Speakers Mr. Daniel Zhou from Alibaba International Digital Commerce Group-ICBU, and Dr. Rui Zhang from Zhejiang Gongshang University, delivered insightful presentations. Mr. Zhou emphasized digital trade’s importance for SMEs and Alibaba International’s commitment to supporting Central Asian countries in building a high-quality digital trade platform. Dr. Zhang showcased the innovative talent training model of China (Hangzhou) Cross-Border E-Commerce College, addressing the needs of cross-border e-commerce talent in the digital economy context. 

The CAREC Innovation Decoded series empowers the CAREC region’s startup community through informative webinars and collaborative knowledge sharing with the first part of the series dedicated to learning from experiences of People’s Republic of China. “CAREC Innovation Decoded” is part of the CAREC Innovation Network (CIN) activities. CIN is proposed as a cooperation and learning platform for the CAREC startup ecosystem to tackle the challenges by sharing information, resources, and network. Capacity-building workshops and networking events are being organized to develop the regional startup ecosystem through collaboration as part of the implementation of CAREC Digital Strategy 2030.
