ADB Vice President Shixin Chen, in his pre-recorded remarks at the Center for International Knowledge on Development’s symposium on 27 July, emphasized ADB’s role as a knowledge bank in facilitating the development process of its developing member countries.

He noted PRC’s role in sharing its rich development experience and knowledge to Central Asian countries; and gave recommendations to promote the ADB-PRC knowledge cooperation through the platforms of RKSI, CAREC Institute, and key PRC think tanks.

More than 80 representatives from international organizations, government departments, Central Asia embassies, think tanks and research institutions, and private enterprises participated in the symposium.

Xinglan Hu of ADB Central and West Asia Regional Cooperation and Operations Coordination Division presented the CAREC program and the PRC-CAREC knowledge cooperation. The symposium was another CIKD event supported by RKSI.
