Mr. Syed Shakeel Shah emphasized the importance of digital development, affirmation of greater women participation in economic activities, and lessons that can be learnt from the PRC’s development experience. 

 

Ep 4. Expectations for Future Digital Development of CAREC

Mr. Roman Mogilevskii discussed the important role governments and international partners can play in providing missing regional public goods that should support everyone, including information exchange, exposure to best international practices, mutual learning, and knowledge sharing. 

 

Ep 3. Digital Trade Development of CAREC Region 

Efforts made by Uzbekistan in digital development and trade facilitation were highlighted by Mr. Farrukh Khakimov. He also emphasized that Central Asian countries should further draw on the PRC‘s experience in digital trade development. Mr. Khakimov gave a brief introduction to the history and opportunities facing CAREC member countries with regard to digital development. 

Ep 2. The PRC’s E-commerce Success Story

Professor Kong discusses the rapid growth of PRC’s e-commerce and the key government policies that have promoted its development. She emphasizes the importance of management and tailored local policies to foster e-commerce in each region based on its advantages and weaknesses.
