PRC-ASEAN Digital Economy Workshop: From Digital Economy Cooperation to Shared Prosperity

On 11 November 2022 at the 25th ASEAN-PRC (10+1) Summit in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, Li Keqiang, then Premier of The State Council, the PRC announced that the country will implement the “ASEAN-PRC Digital Talent Training Plan” and train 1,000 digital talents from ASEAN countries in the next three years. In this context, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, PRC and Zhejiang Provincial Government are taking the lead in organizing the ASEAN-PRC Digital Economy Development Exchange and Cooperation Program. Every year, about 200 from the governments, industry, and academia of ASEAN member states will be recruited to Zhejiang Province for a short-term workshop on digital economy. The first class of the 2023 program will recruit about 60 participants and be organized by Zhejiang University, which will be fully funded by ASEAN-China Young Leaders Scholarship (ACYLS) and Zhejiang Provincial Government. The class is expected to start on August 14 (Monday).
