Public–Private Partnerships in Urbanization in the People’s Republic of China

ADB East Asia Department’s Director General Ayumi Konishi gave opening remarks at the workshop on PPP in urbanization, organized on 22-23 August by ADB with support from the Ministry of Finance and the National Development and Reform Commission. Over 200 participants from the central and local government, private sector, finance industry, and development partners examined the PRC’s experience with PPPs, lessons from overseas, and the next steps for PPPs in the country.
